KRAJCBERG’S LEGACY IN DIALOGUE WITH KRENAK AND HARAWAY

Abstract

This work proposes a transdisciplinary reflection between Biology, Culture, and Environmental Education through the artistic oeuvre of Frans Krajcberg, in dialogue with the thoughts of Ailton Krenak and Donna Haraway. Inspired by a poetic and questioning perspective, we advocate for the dialogue between art, science, and ancestry as a path to re-enchant the teaching of biology and promote an education sensitive to planetary urgencies. The methodology was based on bibliographic and aesthetic analysis, articulating pedagogical proposals that mobilize emotions, memories, and bonds with life territories. Krajcberg’s sculptures are understood as an ethical and political gesture that challenges the logic of destruction, while Haraway and Krenak call for the reconstruction of ties with human, non-human, and more- than-human forms of life. We conclude that art, when allied with critical thinking, can generate profound shifts in the ways we teach, learn, and inhabit the world.
