Abstract

This article aims to provide a brief profile of the Bachelor's degree in Cultural Production and Politics and describe the work we have carried out as a group, members of the PET — Tutorial Education Program — in the field of university extension, with culture as the focus. Additionally, we will attempt to explain, in broad terms, the genesis of the establishment of our alma mater and its mission, the characteristics of the borderland geography where it is located, reflect on the relationship between public universities and culture, and discuss the challenges both face in the current globalized world.
