INNOVATION AND PRECARIOUSNESS DUE TO DIGITAL PLATFORMS

The work went through several new meanings over time. Different values and processes were attributed to it depending on place, time and tradition. Broadly speaking, it is said that technology has created and extinguished professions. In this context, debates arose regarding the necessary state protection for workers, in the form of individual and collective rights. It is also understood that toil was and is impacted by the actions of digital platforms, which have also spread to other spaces concerning society, such as health, education, elections, transport and interpersonal relationships. Therefore, the discussion on how the so-called platformization of work developed is relevant, highlighting the role of the Public Power in regulating platforms to safeguard rights. The aim of this article is to explain the definition of digital platforms and their development in recent decades, highlighting their relationship with the labor sector. The aim is then to demonstrate the evolution of work itself, focusing on the labor rights that involve it and require effectiveness, considering the dynamism of the century and the peculiarities of Brazil. The research is qualified as basic and exploratory and its method is deductive, using legal and doctrinal bases.
