COMPORTAMIENTO SEDENTARIO Y BIENESTAR SUBJETIVO Y PSICOLÓGICO DE ANCIANOS ANTES Y DURANTE LA PANDEMIA DE COVID-19

Resumen

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo comparar el comportamiento sedentario, la satisfacción y el propósito de vida de ancianos brasileños antes y durante el período de aislamiento social debido a la pandemia de COVID-19, en función de variables sociodemográficas. Se trata de un estudio transversal realizado con 108 ancianos. Se utilizaron la Escala de Satisfacción con la Vida, la Escala de Propósito de Vida y el Cuestionario Internacional de Actividad Física. Los datos fueron analizados mediante la prueba de Kolmogorov-Smirnov, prueba t de Student independiente y coeficiente de Pearson (p<0,05). Las mujeres se mostraron menos satisfechas con la vida durante el período de aislamiento social (p<0,01). Los ancianos presentaron reducción en la percepción de satisfacción y propósito de vida (p<0,001) y aumento del comportamiento sedentario (p<0,001) durante el período de aislamiento social. Hubo reducción de la satisfacción y del propósito de vida entre los ancianos y aumento del comportamiento sedentario después del inicio del período de aislamiento.
