Abstract

Ergonomic risks present in early childhood education workplaces are closely related to the development of musculoskeletal complaints among teachers, due to the high physical demands of their professional routine, such as inadequate postures, repetitive movements, and frequent physical exertion. In this context, the present study aimed to evaluate the impact of ergonomic interventions on the reduction of musculoskeletal complaints in early childhood education teachers through a systematic review of the literature. To this end, a systematic review protocol was developed and previously registered on the PROSPERO platform, conducted in accordance with the methodological guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Bibliographic searches were carried out in the United States National Library of Medicine (PubMed), Web of Science (WoS), Scopus Elsevier, and Embase Elsevier databases, using descriptors related to ergonomics and teaching in early childhood education, according to the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) and the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH). Study selection will be performed by independent reviewers to ensure methodological rigor, and the quality of the included articles will be assessed using the JBI instruments and the Cochrane Risk of Bias 2 (RoB 2) tool. It is expected that consistent scientific evidence regarding the effectiveness of ergonomic interventions in reducing musculoskeletal complaints in this population will be identified. The findings may contribute to the development of preventive strategies, support occupational health public policies, and guide the implementation of more effective ergonomic practices in the school setting.
