CONSIDERACIONES PARA UNA AGENDA DE INVESTIGACIONES

La adicción al trabajo se reconoce como un problema de salud pública debido a sus graves consecuencias para la salud y su impacto en diversas categorías profesionales. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo realizar una revisión narrativa de la literatura nacional sobre el tema, mediante búsquedas en las bases de datos Periódicos Capes, Scielo y BVS, utilizando los términos “adicción al trabajo”, “workaholism”, “workaholic” y “work addiction”. De los 43 artículos encontrados, 15 cumplieron los criterios de inclusión y fueron analizados según año, revista, muestra, diseño, instrumento y resultados principales. Se observó un mayor número de publicaciones en 2020, especialmente en revistas de Psicología, con predominio de estudios transversales que utilizaron la Dutch Work Addiction Scale (DUWAS). Los resultados mostraron asociaciones con variables sociodemográficas, ocupacionales y consecuencias derivadas del fenómeno. Se concluye que es necesario ampliar las investigaciones sobre la adicción al trabajo, diversificando los diseños metodológicos, las técnicas de recolección de datos y las variables explicativas.
