CONSUMO DE PORNOGRAFÍA Y SEXUALIDAD EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS

La disponibilidad de contenidos pornográficos en internet ha intensificado los debates sobre sus efectos en la formación de expectativas, creencias y prácticas sexuales entre los adultos jóvenes. Este estudio analizó cómo el consumo de pornografía influye en las percepciones, fantasías y comportamientos sexuales de estudiantes universitarios varones. Se trata de una investigación cualitativa, descriptiva y exploratoria, realizada mediante un cuestionario aplicado a 100 hombres universitarios del Distrito Federal de Brasil, todos sexualmente activos. Los resultados indicaron que, aunque la pornografía amplía los repertorios imaginativos, la mayoría de los participantes diferencia la fantasía de la práctica y no busca reproducir directamente las escenas consumidas. Se reportaron comparaciones corporales y de desempeño sexual con actores pornográficos, asociadas a impactos en la autoestima y la seguridad sexual. También surgieron variaciones en el interés sexual dentro de relaciones estables, atribuidas a la discrepancia entre la sexualidad cotidiana y la performatividad pornográfica. En cuanto a las conductas de riesgo, se observó que el consumo de pornografía no determinó el uso de preservativos, aunque algunos participantes asociaron contenidos más impulsivos con decisiones momentáneamente menos cautelosas. Se concluye que el consumo de pornografía ejerce una influencia multifacética en la vivencia sexual masculina, siendo percibido tanto como un recurso exploratorio como potencialmente perjudicial cuando se asocia con expectativas irreales. Esto refuerza la importancia de enfoques educativos que promuevan la reflexión crítica y una comprensión realista de las relaciones afectivo-sexuales.
