Abstract

  1. With the theme: Educational Practices in the 21st Century: Dialogues on Languages, Knowledge, and Inclusion, we present the first dossier organized by the LICTI Research Group from the Castanhal Campus of the Federal Institute of Pará, the result of a promising partnership between the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies - CEEINTER from Santa Catarina and the III International Seminar on Languages, Cultures, Technologies, and Inclusion - SILICTI. This dossier brings discussions within the teacher training process and shows how educational practices can contribute to more qualitative and effective teaching in relation to issues of languages and the challenges faced regarding the inclusion of students with specific educational needs in the classroom.

In this edition of the journal, the process of internationalization was evident, and in this sense, we are honored to collaborate with both national and international institutions, which enriches the ongoing debate and allows for a more holistic view within the framework of a more inclusive, participatory education that is in line with the agenda of equality of rights and sociocultural diversity, both in Brazil and abroad.

Author Biographies

Miranilde Oliveira Neves, Federal Institute of Pará – Castanhal Campus

She holds a degree in Language and Literature - Portuguese Language, specialization in Teaching and Learning of the Portuguese Language, Higher Education Teaching, Methodology of the English Language, and Distance Education Tutoring. She holds a Ph.D. in Education and is a professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Pará - Castanhal Campus, teaching in basic, technical, technological education, and in graduate programs (lato and stricto sensu).

Maria Eduarda da Silva Oliveira, Federal Institute of Pará – Castanhal Campus

He holds a degree in Chemistry (Licentiate) from the Federal University of Pará (2014) and a master's degree in Education in Science and Mathematics from the Federal University of Pará (2016). He is currently a professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Pará.
