SABERES, RECIPROCIDADE E RESISTÊNCIA BIOCULTURAL NO CERRADO PIAUIENSE

Resumo

Este estudo investiga as práticas e saberes do guardião de sementes crioulas no Cerrado piauiense, particularmente na comunidade de Riacho dos Cavalos, Monte Alegre, PI. O principal objetivo foi compreender os processos sociais subjacentes a essas práticas, contextualizando-os nas estruturas do habitus, da memória biocultural e da reciprocidade camponesa, por meio da história de vida do guardião. A metodologia empregada foi qualitativa, de inspiração etnográfica, baseada em entrevistas semiestruturadas e observação participante, com suporte teórico em Mauss, Bourdieu, Toledo, Barrera-Bassols. A análise de conteúdo seguiu os preceitos de Bardin. As conclusões revelaram que a circulação de sementes crioulas estabelece e fortalece laços sociais, confiança e cooperação entre os agricultores. Essa prática constitui uma forma de resistência cotidiana à homogeneização da paisagem agrícola e à insegurança alimentar. O guardião pesquisado, atua como mediador de conhecimentos tradicionais e catalisador de redes de solidariedade, essenciais para a reprodução sociocultural e a salvaguarda da memória biocultural. A preservação dessas sementes é fundamental para a identidade e a soberania alimentar, validando conceitos teóricos e oferecendo um modelo prático de conservação da agrobiodiversidade.
