CALL FOR DOSSIER PROPOSALS – 2025 OF THE REVISTA DE ESTUDOS INTERDISCIPLINARES
The Editorial Team of the Revista de Estudos Interdisciplinares announces the open call for thematic dossier proposals for the 2025 editions. This call aims to expand interdisciplinary dialogue and foster innovative debates that integrate diverse fields of knowledge, promoting reflections that contribute to the advancement of sciences and humanities.
ABOUT THE JOURNAL1.1. The Revista de Estudos Interdisciplinares publishes bimonthly editions in a continuous flow, prioritizing quality, diversity, and interaction between various fields of knowledge.
1.2. Its primary objective is to promote interdisciplinary dialogues that enable the convergence of different academic paradigms and the dissemination of information through the publication of original articles, essays, and reviews.
1.3. Each edition is dedicated to presenting relevant research results, significant academic trajectories, and experience reports conducted by researchers with impactful contributions in their fields of expertise.
1.4. The journal positions itself as an inclusive and dynamic space for the promotion of knowledge, encouraging collaboration between different fields of study, especially in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Applied Social Sciences.
1.5. By fostering critical reflection and the continuous enhancement of knowledge, it aims to encourage enriching debates between authors and readers, promoting the construction of new interdisciplinary paradigms.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION2.1. Dossier proposals must include:
2.1.1. Provisional title;
2.1.2. Summary (up to 500 words), describing the main theme and objectives of the dossier;
2.1.3. Possible fields of knowledge involved and interdisciplinary connections (up to 500 words);
2.1.4. Name(s), academic titles, institutional affiliations, Lattes CV link, and ORCID of the organizers;
2.1.5. Justification (up to 500 words), highlighting the relevance, innovation, and contribution of the theme to the interdisciplinary areas addressed by the journal.
2.2. Each dossier may have up to three organizers, with at least one holding a doctoral degree and the others holding a minimum of a master's degree.
2.3. Proposals must be sent to the journal's email: ceeinter01@gmail.com, with the subject "Dossier Proposal 2025."
2.4. Proposals submitted outside the call period or through means other than the email mentioned in 2.3 will not be accepted.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ORGANIZERS3.1. The organizers of the selected dossiers must:
3.1.1. Be aware that the journal charges a publication fee for approved articles;
3.1.2. Indicate reviewers for the articles submitted to the dossier;
3.1.3. Prepare the introductory text for the dossier, to be published in the corresponding edition;
3.1.4. Maintain continuous contact with the editorial team throughout the process;
3.1.5. Assist in the dissemination of the dossier and the follow-up of submissions.
4.1. Each dossier must include between 7 and 15 approved articles, which is the minimum and maximum range for publication.
4.2. Dossiers should highlight institutional and regional diversity in Brazil, valuing the participation of international authors and co-authors.
4.3. Articles submitted to the dossier must fully comply with the journal's submission guidelines, available on the journal's website.
SCHEDULE5.1. Submissions start: 9:00 AM on January 2, 2025.
5.2. Submissions close: 11:59 PM on January 30, 2025.
5.3. Announcement of selected dossiers: by February 15, 2025.
6.1. Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
6.1.1. Originality and relevance of the theme;
6.1.2. Interdisciplinarity and scope of the fields of knowledge;
6.1.3. Clarity and coherence of the proposal;
6.1.4. Potential to attract national and international contributions.
6.2. Proposals including researchers from different regions and institutions will be prioritized.
FINAL REMARKS7.1. No remuneration: Organizers will not receive payment, as this is a voluntary academic collaboration.
7.2. Journal standards: Only works that meet the submission guidelines of the journal will be accepted.
7.3. The Editorial Team will be responsible for creating the promotional material for the dossiers.
