OS IMPACTOS DAS MUDANÇAS CLIMÁTICAS NA SAÚDE E SEGURANÇA NO TRABALHO

UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA

Resumo

A interface entre mudanças climáticas e Saúde e Segurança no Trabalho (SST) tem sido explorada na literatura científica desde 2009. Desde então, estudos demonstram que as mudanças climáticas possuem efeitos negativos na SST, potencializados pela pobreza e desigualdades sociais preexistentes. O objetivo deste artigo é atualizar a discussão, por meio de uma revisão integrativa da literatura relacionando mudanças climáticas e SST entre os anos de 2020 e 2024. A pesquisa foi realizada nas bases de dados PubMed, Scopus e Web of Science, utilizando os descritores “climate change” e “work or occupational health and safety” no título, selecionando somente artigos originais em português, espanhol e inglês e com relação direta com os temas. Os principais impactos, diretos e indiretos, das mudanças climáticas na SST foram em categorias profissionais que laboram ao ar livre, como agricultores e trabalhadores da construção civil, e trazem para a discussão a necessidade de estratégias de adaptação/mitigação a esse novo cenário. Os principais perigos/riscos ocupacionais relacionados à alteração do clima foram o aumento da temperatura, aumento da poluição do ar, calor extremo, estresse mental, fadiga e incêndios florestais. A relevância temática suscita a necessidade de mais pesquisas, principalmente em países em desenvolvimento, como o Brasil.
