Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by the interaction of genetic and environmental factors that manifest uniquely in each individual, impacting different dimensions of life, such as social, communicative, motor, and sensory domains. Considering this complexity, the development of individualized and integrated therapeutic plans becomes essential, involving a multiprofessional team capable of addressing the specific demands of each individual.

This article aims to analyze, through a literature review, the importance of integrated multiprofessional care for individuals with ASD, highlighting its benefits and challenges. The research was conducted in the SciELO and Google Scholar databases, covering publications from 2010 to 2025, using the keywords “integrated intervention,” “autism,” “multiprofessional team,” and “psychology,” applying the Boolean operator AND to refine the searches.

The results indicate that integrated multiprofessional practice promotes autonomy, quality of life, and the strengthening of the therapeutic bond, contributing to interventions that are better adapted to the real needs of individuals.
